Global Hypnosis Community

This is a selective society that contains some of the best and most productive hypnosis researchers and clinicians in the field. In the past four decades, the majority of the important English language publications in the filed of scientific hypnosis have been written by members of the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. Members of SCEH have the opportunity to ask questions, exchange ideas and collaborate with those who are the brightest minds in the field, and who are experienced with applying hypnosis techniques to a variety of clinical problems.

Continuing Education and Professional Development

SCEH boasts a rich history in hypnosis training and research, and each year presents its Annual Workshops and Scientific Session, now entering its 66th year. Each Annual Conference comprises a Workshop track (including Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Workshops) as well as a Scientific Session that features the latest research on clinical and experimental hypnosis. The conference attracts some of the most advanced clinicians and researchers on hypnosis in the world. Attendees have tremendous opportunities to learn about the latest information and techniques in hypnosis. Members qualify for discounted conference registration. From time to time, SCEH also offers additional continuing education courses, directed to health care professionals at all levels.

Hypnosis Certification

The Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis provides a professional certification program to recognize committed practitioners and scientists who are members of the Society and who are willing to commit themselves to an individualized program designed to improve their own knowledge and skill in hypnosis and to help expand the field and teach their colleagues. International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis

The International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, IJCEH, is the official publication of the Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, and is provided to you free with your SCEH membership. Each quarterly issue offers clinical and experimental studies, discussions of theory, book reviews, and seminal work by research and clinical experts. The IJCEH provides up to date information on the latest clinical and research findings in hypnosis. Ranked among the 10 most cited journals in the psychological literature, the IJCEH is peer reviewed by some of the most prominent scholars in the field and presents topical and well designed studies for 'students' of hypnosis.

Focus Newsletter

To keep its members informed, SCEH publishes a quarterly newsletter, Focus, which contains articles and news about the Society and its members.
